Odyssey: The Ones Left Behind

Based on Homer’s Odyssey and adapted to the Dungeons & Dragons 5e system, the homebrew campaign Odyssey lets players become members of Odysseus’ crew, on a journey full of dangers, wrathfull gods, and unknown places.

The characters find themselves in a world where the fate and will of the gods play a decisive role in the story, in a world where each island hides new and unexpected trials, from temptations and dilemmas that test their faith and endurance, to mythical monsters and cursed places.

The Odyssey is a story with strong mythological elements, combined with exploration, combat, and roleplay, emphasizing player choices and team dynamics within an ever-changing journey.

Whether you want to stand against legends or carve your own path through the sea and fate, you can come and experience an adventure full of trials and stories reminiscent of an ancient epic.

Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you’re destined for.
But don’t hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you’re old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you’ve gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her you wouldn’t have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.
And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
